View “Genetic Roulette” This week

by Eric on October 11, 2012

The powerful documentary Genetic Roulette can be viewed for free online this week. It is the most comprehensive and moving film I’ve seen to date on the GMO issue. Highly recommended. Prop 37 is coming up for vote in California this November, which would require the labeling of genetically-modified/genetically-engineered foods. Very important this passes, which would send rippling effects across the nation.

Hi Eric, I stumbled on your blog in kind of a convoluted way. This past week I heard reports on honey bee populations dying out and the “Monsanto Protection” Act, which led me to several documentaries, including the Future of Food, Food Inc., and The World According to Monsanto, as well as an interview Thom Hartmann did late last year with Genetic Roulette’s director Jeffrey Smith. Genetic Roulette is currently available for viewing on IMDB.

The GMO infestation of the food supply is both a global issue and a personal one — it strikes us literally at our core and where we live, and because of that, it unites us all. I can’t do this topic justice in a few paragraphs but highly recommend personal investigation and research into what probably is the most important issue of our time.
