In the Wake of Yet Another Dependence Day
Alright, let’s take off the gloves, shall we? Let’s remove the masks, the layers of bullshit, the massive amounts of smoke and freakin’ mirrors, and get to the meat and potatoes of where we are in America today, 2008. Grab a cocktail, a handkerchief, a sandwich, and the part of your anatomy you deem most dear, cause here we go…
1. Let’s start off with our politicians. From President to Vice President to Secretary of State to Attorney General to most of our Senators and Congress – THEY ARE ALL LIARS!!!! Greedy, lying, manipulative liars, who care nothing about Country and only of Self. Bush is a moron bred from Nazi livestock, and Dick Cheney is a robotic overlord from the 22nd Century, and Condy Rice is simply a snooty, smug bee-yotch fall gal pitted as Colin Powell’s younger sister.
2. To recover from this depression (that’s right, I said de-press-un) we are in, the only resolution is complete and total revolution. This is not a recession. This is not a bear market or ebb and flow economic situation. This is not the cool side of the pillow that needs to be flipped over. The only reason we can’t admit to ourselves this is an outright depression is because we all have multiple credit cards. Wake up! And tear them up. That might help save part of your ass over the next few years.
3. Petroleum. Jesus Christ, don’t get me started. When it comes to a non-renewable resource, how can we recover from a century of glutony? Oh yeah, we can’t. It’s too late. The next one to ten years will be the most difficult this country has ever experienced (yes, 1930s included) and yet many seem to feel ‘God will take care of us.’ Why would God take care of the most wasteful species on an otherwise glorious planet? WE are the ones screwin’ it up. WE are the ones so consumed with greed, ignorance, and arrogance, that we can’t see the forest we’ve destroyed for all the damn smoke cindering from charred tree stumps. Am I cynical at this point? No, I’m simply pissed off. And so to should you be. The end of OIL is near, and yet we feel we can stretch it out by drilling in Alaska or the Gulf or in our own butt, if needed. Is anyone, and I mean ANYONE really getting it? And guess what? Writing a letter to our congressman won’t cut it. And neither will calling some random talk radio to cry or complain. The only proper reaction in any revolution is complete and totally (organized) revolution.
4. We’ve been lied to. From 9/11 to Weapons of Mass Destruction to Iran to Dramatic Climate Change to the Gold (no longer) in Fort Knox to Taxes to EVERYTHING we hang our hat on as a democracy. It is sickening. We’re in a Twilight Zone episode. These are our Dependence Days. Until we sever the ties with Democracy and attempt to reclaim what our forefathers wished for in the Constitution, we’ll remain invalids. We’ll remain the idiot the Elite (like the Trilateral Commision) want us to be. So long as we sit on our asses with remote in hand, nothing will change. We’ll remain mentally, socially, and spiritually paralyzed in a catanic state until this board is erased, and we start anew. Scrap the rusty, worn out frame and begin again from scratch. This is our only hope.
5. Food Supply. Monsanto is destroying it best they can. And our U.S. Government is helping them. They own patents on over 200 plants! Let me repeat that. A greedy corporation and our government have patents on living organisms! I find it interesting, because our Constitution was supposed to have prevented that. But Daddy Bush altered that in 1993. So, as one who likes to eat, I’m a tad concerned about how our food chain and food supply is being severely and perversely genetically altered.
Have I depressed you yet? Good. Then maybe you’ll get pissed off enough to wake up, stand up, and shout at the top of your voice, “I’M MAD AS HELL AND i’M NOT GONNA TAKE IT ANYMORE!” Cause the only resolution in any successfully spelled REVOLUTION is with a U and an I.
