Strangest Summer Ever

Filed under: Latest article — son of a farmer @ 9:13 pm

What a weird, weird year. Normally, I welcome deranged situations, but lately I have to wonder if a continuous onslaught of such bizarre proportions is best for us in the grand scheme of things…But hell, I guess this is what was intended for us to learn some really fuckin’ valuable lessons.
This summer has been without a doubt, one of the most challenging periods not only in my life, but perhaps the entire nation’s as well. That vast horizon of change that was once so far away is the very one we now ride like a bare-backed, barbed-wire stallion hell-bent on forging us into the great beyond. The question is, “Is the great beyond a return to the prairie or a worm hole into another dimension?”

But back to the madness that is 2008. Let’s have a quick recap, shall we?

Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac have all crawled into the six-foot hole they’ve dug themselves and had dirt kicked in on top of the housing market, covering half their torso.

The metal market has been manipulated to no end, squashing the true value of gold, silver, etc.

Oil? Who the hell knows what’s going on with that since Russia’s checkmate? We continue to gorge ourselves with non-renewable resources at unbelievable rates.
We’ve got two polar opposites running for U.S. Head Honcho and neither has a true grasp of how large the bag of shit is that’s hitting the fan.
Bush, Cheney, and the Republic-corps have completely avoided any scent of impeachment.

Pelosi and the Demo-corps have done nothing they promised since taking over the Senate.

Monsanto continues its raping of Mother Nature and Life in general as the sinister seed monopoly  continues to buy up seed companies, plant patents, and University research centers, scientists, and professors.

We’ve experienced the largest bank failures in our nation’s history (with more to come.)

Unemployment is skyrocketed through the roof.

Inflation as well.

Droughts dominate the south. Floods in the Midwest. Fires and earthquakes out west.

Russia invades Georgia (not Florida’s neighbor, mind you) and puts themselves in control of Europe’s main pipeline for gas and oil.

We’re still invading/occupying Mesopotamia and contemplating Iran.

Crop circles like crazy in England.

And the North and South Poles are melting into the ocean, creating one hell of a perpetual margarita.

Have I missed anything? I’m sure I have, but these are, by in large, the lowlights of our time. Same ‘ol, same ‘ol. Pass the beans and the gravy, Little Billy has joined the Navy.

It is safe to say all generations are witnessing a crucial transition at a very critical time on this planet. I wish I could say this is all happening for the better. But to be honest, I’m trying to figure out what, if anything is headed toward some logical point of interest for the betterment of humanity and all living, breathing creatures.

All I can say is live each day to its fullest. Prepare for the worst, Hope for the best and Expect somewhere in between. But always Prepare, Prepare, Prepare. Be innovative. Be creative. Be determined to kick free from a mundane monetary system of living. Be one who lives outside the corporate-made box. Be one who challenges the system. Be one who stands up to bullshit, bullies, and bullet pushers. Be one who upholds the constitution. Be informed. Be enlightened. Be independent. But most of all…BE FREE.

Rain Update, Weather Watching

Filed under: Latest article — son of a farmer @ 8:37 pm

The below article should be amended with a 2-inch rain on most of our fields on August 15-17th. Which puts us right at 6″ on most of our fields and about 8″ on one. Interesting conversation I had with a friend, who said our local weatherman (NBC affiliate in Midland-Odessa) stated we were “back on track” with our annual expectancy. Is this guy smoking crack? Or is his rain gauge sponsored by Walt Disney? Jesus Christ, we are far from average. Which brings me to the point of encouraging all citizens everywhere to chart weather patterns. Pay particular attention to rainfall and temperatures (highs and lows) each day throughout the year. I firmly believe you’ll find your local “weatherman” and other governing agencies to be greatly misleading us. All you need is a raingauge, a thermostat, and some pen and paper. Do it! Do it! Get back to me in a year on the results. Every spot is different.

Rain, Magnetics, and Wool Socks

Filed under: Latest article — son of a farmer @ 6:35 am
Some of you will recall my articles on Paramagnetic Energy and its effects on rain. Last year, it appeared to be working. This year? Not at all.Since December 2007, we’ve received no more than 6″ of rain on any of our farms. The four fields I have placed towers have only received anywhere between 2.5″-4.0″ the past nine months. Extremely frustrating, considering I’ve built two 14-feet high towers on two separate fields.

So, we’ve gone from 40″ in 2007 to 4″ in 2008. What does this tell me? That I’m as confused as ever. Perhaps more towers are needed. Perhaps location is not ideal. Perhaps they don’t make a bit of damn difference in rainfall at all. Perhaps this drought is stronger in energy than what the towers are able to draw in.

Rest assure I have not given up on this issue. The rains will come back soon. We need it badly. Without rain, nothing survives long. West Texas is like a not-so-easy bake oven in drought-ridden summers. It’s as sweaty as two rats fornicating in a wool sock most days.

These are trying times, my fellow liberators. If we can make it to September, it’ll be downhill from there. Just 10 more days!!! Dear sweet mother of man.
