As real as it gets

Sunset in the Desert

Filed under: Latest article — son of a farmer @ 9:08 pm

For now, I stare into the horizon that is what’s to come. Not certain what that might be, nor at all concerned with its bearings, I continue to gaze into the blaze that is the setting sun. My vision blurred, I stumble. My purpose confirmed, I continue in the direction I last remember warmth’s embrace.
Please excuse my nostalgia for poetic expression.

Well, my fellow Liberators, it has come to this. From here on out, this website should be looked upon as a “resource only” site. No more regular updates. I appreciate the feedback the past four years, but this website never did live up to its billing as a forum for farmers to discuss many topics. Received interesting stuff from France, Africa, Australia, Amsterdam, China, and elsewhere here in the States, but it wasn’t enough to keep the campfire lit night in and out. Just not enough to justify the time and energy required to keep a great site rolling along. Now, it’s time to focus on actions rather than words. Now, the fuel of labor is required rather than the fumes of chatter. Greener pastures are much needed.
It’s been real and it’s been fun, but it hasn’t been real fun. I have other projects which require my attention and focus. For those interested, please research as many of the topics as possible discussed on this site. There is much more we’ve yet to tap into in agriculture and Living, in general. I hope we change things for the better…and soon. After all, we were meant to be Creators, not Destroyers.
Keep the campfire lit, and that 3rd Eye squeaky clean.

Peace, Love, and Fried Okra, SOAF

P.S. I’ll keep you posted (if and) when the next cool thing of vast significance occurs. When a proper change of address transpires, you’ll know.

September Thoughts

Filed under: Latest article — son of a farmer @ 6:10 am

Aw, finally the heat is gone. As September rolls along, the once bubbling horizon melts in its wake. It is my favorite time of year, my fellow liberators. Cool breezes, slow-paced labor, vacations, football season, and crisp morning air. Yes, fall is almost here.

I’ve been working on a major project, so I won’t be blogging all that much. Trying to stay focused.  I’ll keep you posted when something cool happens…hopefully in a few weeks or so. I’ve stumbled onto another project I’m very excited about regarding subtle energies and crop management. Could be revolutionary. I will know by this time next year whether it works or not.
