Organic Farming

PUPPET POLITICIANS AND ORGANICS
Which side of the barbed wire fence do your politicans graze in concern with organics in America? Don’t know? Then find out by checking out this website at http://organicconsumersfund.org/voterguide.cfm and if they haven’t filled out the survey, you can email it to him or her. Do they care? Are they even aware. Are you?
For the most part in our immediate area, the majority of people who seem to be concerned with the kind of food they are eating are over the age of 65. Again, I say the majority. So, if you’re 58, and you’re from around here, don’t come screamin’ at me, calling you a senior citizen. I’m just being observant and simultaneously conducting a social study with attempting to deliver all natural fruits and veggies to people’s front doors. The results? Frightening. But I’m confident more and more people will educate themselves on the lack of nutrients in most store-bought foods.

We’re making strides in that area on our family farm. We’re raising about five acres of fruits and vegetables: onions, squash, zuchini, okra, peppers, tomatoes, corn, black-eye peas, watermelons, and cantaloupes in addition to our cotton operation. Trying to rethink this whole farming gig and where we need to go in order to survive and dare shall I say…prosper?
More and more people are starting to educate themselves on food, yet most are still in the dark about who is producing what and where.
Organic farming is really taking off in this country. Several farmers are prospering in this market. It’s better for the land, the environment, and that thing surrounding your soul called a body.
